i made this little picture frame the night before the party, and printed out this pic from when she met Ariel in disney world...
of course, we had to have a mermaid cake...
and of course, the "3" banner, celebrating these wonderful three years we have had with our littlest K...
aunt amy and the birthday girl...
and PawPaw brought his four wheeler, which was, of course, a big hit with all of the kids, like always...
drew always says that i make the craziest faces when anyone is opening gifts, and i have to say based on these pictures, i totally agree...
wow. i mean, really? i didn't know it was that bad...
another funny...check out the pictures above and please take note of kenzie. for some reason, the child was just hovering.all.over.me while i was trying to help kk open her gifts. and for a while i was cool with it and would just sweetly tell her to back off. but then, it got over the top...take a look at the progression of these pics...
back away, kenzie...
really, kenzie, please quit leaning over my shoulder...
enough. this is where i must be telling her to back.away., because the next pic we get is this...
see her way down on the right-hand corner? and here, behind allie, do you see the sulky face?...
yep. i just can't win 'em all...
an exciting gift was lil bit's bike that she got from nana and papa...
(and I guess kenz must be feeling better now, because she's back up in the middle of things again...)
kk insisted on wearing her crown the better part of the day
who cares that it's sideways? i loved how she totally got shy when everyone started singing happy birthday to her...
and my favorite part of the day was when she threw her little arms around me and said "i love you mommy!" this picture captured that moment and made it even sweeter...
it was a fun day and i'm especially thankful for all of my family who took time to celebrate with us. these simple times make life so special...
{don't i look excited? haha...}
happy weekend!
