princess party

wednesday we had a "princess party".  basically the whole day was devoted to watching our favorite princess movies.  as we would pull out each new movie, the girls would run into the back and put on their dresses to match the star of the show.  we watched sleeping beauty, cinderella, barbie in the nutcracker {yes, this can be considered a princess movie, because she finds out at the end of the movie that she is the sugar plum princess!} and aladdin.  it was so much fun!

we also had a princess luncheon, complete with a tea party.  the royal place setting...

i LOVE this teapot, and it was so fun to pull it out and use it!

the most fun part of this day, though, was watching the girls as they enjoyed our fun time together...
{and please excuse my off-focus picture...i'm trying to learn my new lens ;)}...

this was a really fun, special day, and well worth all the effort it took!  definitely a memory we will not soon forget...
